We have the ability to experience the greater access of our world and the mobility to express it with a diverse group of people. Post-ethnicity is the willingness to grow across cultures, and which personal identity is formed by culture and the preferences it offers rather than by the heritage or skin color of an individual. It underlines the specific worth and diversity within the large population and foregrounds the differences within the culture. The purpose with inferring to post-ethnicity is to expand out “we.” Many individuals live enclosed in their circle, their own culture, their own heritage, and their own generation. Being a part of different communities, it is important to remember and accept that some will and will

There shouldn’t be a force, but a choice. The choice to identify as yourself without any questions asked, in other words, the choice to locate yourself as pleased. The communities are primary sources of identification, working out to fit certain politics and clarifications when it comes to standards and illustrating different purposes and structures. “Our communities are various in their structure and function. Not all entail the same mix—nor do all require the measure of internal agreement” (Hollinger, 106). Post-ethnicity seeks to expand the limits to stretch out the community circle as much as the nature and cultures will allow it to. It is a brainless idea to try and reason with other members of different cultures to recognize the common interests of our heritage—nor is it easy to amplify that they might be better off by adapting to our ways instead. We cannot simply impose certain ideas about human rights on other cultures. It is possible to create more problems that are unnecessary. It is heavily praised that post-ethnicity “prefers voluntary to prescribed affiliations, appreciates multiple identities, pushes for communities of wide scope, recognizes the constructed character of ethno-racial groups, and accepts the formation of new groups as a part of the normal life” (Hollinger, …show more content…
They are the main principles of the separation of church and state. “The separation between church and state should not be construed as a barrier, it is said, to federal support for educational institutions that require adherence to certain religious doctrines” (Hollinger, 122). The religious groups in America display exclusion or non-exclusion depending on circumstances. The Protestant denominationalism is an illustration of the religions who did have a large affiliation that within “a distinctive social and intellectual framework that promotes some choices and discourages others” (Hollinger, 121). Meanwhile, the Roman Catholic Church has been the most comprehensive voluntary organization in the United States. However, religion affiliations and ethno-racial affiliations have background and they are usually chosen upon what an individual’s parents’ followed. Referring to the racial identities, the ethno-racial pentagon provides opportunity for any individual or group to claim their cultural purpose and diversity in society. The discrimination would be taken in to consideration with using the ethno-racial pentagon. This allows them to serve some type of authority and some protection within the pentagon to correct the abuses it followed before with the categories.
