I live in an area of Utah were the inversion gets really bad and I am not supposed to go outside because of how bad the pollution is. It makes me sad that I can’t go out and enjoy the outdoors of a place that is so beautiful. It’s weird when you are supposed to go outside to stay healthy and enjoy it, but you can’t because the air is poisoning you. Pollution is something that everybody deals with no matter where you go, but Utah is a little different. It’s different because of the topographical differences in our area. One author illustrated it this way,”During the winter a warm front will trap the air in creating a lid on a soup bowl effect, and that makes it so that the dirty air can’t get out.” (Frosch). Since this is something that we know is going to happen we should plan ahead for when this does happen. It has a direct affect on people's health and makes it harder on everybody.
