Freedom Speech

Freedom has meant many things to many people over time, from the relatively few rights/freedoms or oppressive cultures to countries like the U.S. with lots of rights and freedoms. Today I will talk about freedom is politically, socially, and spiritually, along with how it is won and lost, and how people react when different types of freedom are threatened or taken away. Freedom is one of the most important gifts given to us by god. But most peoples do not have this until stable governments were started some of which continue to this day. This has saved the weak from being preyed on by the strong. This may be considered an important concept to talk about since this nation was founded on these principles.

This also kind of ties in with political and social, but because of their religion and/or if they were descendants or related those who were jewish then they had a whole lot of problems. Freedom of religion was a problem for many and many wanted to escape to it. The Jews were one of the more targeted minorities but they were not the only minorities tageter in this time, homosexuals, left handed intellectuals, and people with deformities or debilitating issues, were also persecuted and often sent to concentration camps and killed. They would reacting very negatively to sudden and dramatic changes in freedom. Most invaders or dramatic changes in an government would not do dramatic changes so as not to create immediate uprisings. As in the case of the Jews in was contrary to what most people think, it was done very slowly. The change was so gradual that they did not feel it as much or notice it but because of the propaganda, social expectation, and the secret police, after it was getting bad there was nothing they could do to get out of it. When they realized how bad it would really be it was to late for them to leave. As I said people react to the loss of freedom differently, we must always keep our eyes open to make sure that oppression is not slowly creeping on us to where we can’t stop
