Playing sports help it making friends easier. Also, individual sports such as golf, tennis, and track and field give opportunities to make friends. For example, track meets consisted with at least six teams and it gave me a chance make friends outside of my school. I usually ran against the same girls so eventually, we became “frienemies”.Now imagine that you are a new kid in town and you want to make friends. It would be hard making some in the classroom because during the thirty to forty-five minutes of class, the teachers use most of the time teaching the lesson, therefore the students were not able to communicate with each other. When the teacher does give the student 's group activities, most of the time the people in the group won’t have each other in any of their other classes. For example, I had to move the end of seventh grade because my parents got a job offers in a small town called George West. The first couple weeks of my new school was horrible. Making friends was difficult for me because I’m a shy person and I was not given any times in class to talk to anyone. Also, I wasn’t able to meet people with the same interest as me. I told my mom about my problem and she suggests that I should join a sport. I’m glad I took the advice that my mom gave me. Engaging in a sport can stimulate the release of endorphins in the bloodstream, leading to an effect known as a “runner’s high.” A powerful mechanism for stress relief is the increase feelings of self-esteem and self- confidence and these feelings increase when being active.Playing any sports involve people communicating with each other and social interaction is one of a factor in reducing stress. Participating a sport get people distracted from the things that caused them to stress. For example, one of my good friends,Richard, usually stresses out when a major test is coming up.
