Immediately, people started messaging me and asking me what the hell I was doing and if I was drunk? Of course, I wasn’t actually going to get tattoo. I was just kidding. It was crazy to see all these people giving me their opinions on tattoos, even though I had not asked for them. Honestly, what makes us believe that our opinions are correct and that we have to impose them on others. Not only did the people who follow me on snapchat tell me I was stupid for getting a tattoo, my cousin decided she would tell my mom. In a matter …show more content…
But not only am I not allowed to do this, I have to follow other rules my parents have. My parents constantly remind me that while I am living under their roof and they are supporting me, I have to follow their rules. Therefore, they are the source of the constraints imposed on me. Ultimately we give into social norms and a piece of our freedom is taken

White’s article “The Art, the First Amendment and the Courts” helps demonstrates how tattoos and the art of tattooing are forms of pure expression fully protected by the 1st Amendment which helps protects freedom of speech. People get tattoos to tell one’s story to the world through a visual representation of an important moment, person…
