How has your personal and family history affected who you are as a person? In order to answer in the best possible this question, I need to start with my grandparents, both sides were born and lived in rural areas and decided to move to Mexico City with their children. Looking for an opportunity to offer their families a better quality of life.
From my mother’s side, sixteen children were born, but only four of them survived. The youngest survivor was my mother, Guadalupe. The reason why the thirteen children did not survived was for the lack of health support in the rural areas, and any of the simplest illnesses such as flu or diarrhea was considered fatal. I truly believe, that one of the main reasons I am today in the Deacon program is due to my family prayers and the family experiences that I had as a child and as adolescent. I still remember when I talked with my grandparents from my mother side about faith, and how they emphasized to me the importance of the sacraments and the devotion to the rosary, I also remember several times in which together as a family we were involved in efforts and activities to help others who need more than us.
Furthermore, when we were able to go to pilgrims to the different Sanctuaries that exist in the country for our Lady of Guadalupe, and several saints, we did this not only as a family but with the company of friends and
