Everybody has motivations, some unseen and some highly visible. Driving these motivations are people's passion. Everybody has something that guides their goals and ambitions. Some people are driven by blind ambition, others by wealth, and others by the yearning to make the world a better place. Many people are driven by numerous passions that push them all over the place; however, some are driven by a single overwhelming passion. I have found myself to be somewhere in between theses two categories. I have several passions, however I have found that three of them have profoundly impacted me and my life. If a subject intrigues me, I will look into it and find out as much as I can about it. This longing to learn more has driven many of my other interests. I have always been interested in American history because I love knowing about my country's past and how it compares to modern times. My passion for knowledge has led me to always try to learn more about our history. The same goes for politics, a field I love due to its impact in the real world. If something political peaks my interest I will research the subject and develop an opinion about it. My passion for knowledge also plays a key role in my love for reading. Reading always allows me to learn something new, and it helps me to become a well rounded person. Like my desire to improve, my love of knowledge has also become interlinked with my passion for family. I greatly enjoy learning learning about my ancestors and what they have done and experienced. A weakness that I have is that I do not know how to say no to individuals that ask me for help since I love to help people. It is important that I learn to say no when helping others gets in the way of me accomplishing my tasks. It is important that I do both, but not when I run the risk of not meeting my deadlines and me staying late hours after work to get my work done. It has not been an easy task saying no, but I am learning to be okay with saying no because it is important that it does not interfere with my responsibilities.…

An abundance of people appreciate the arts, whether it be the performing, visual or theatrical areas, on the other hand, I love them. My passion being the visual arts. Instead of writing and spelling at five years old, I was drawing, painting mixing colors and forming shapes not realizing the capableness of my techniques for such a young aged child. Because drawing was the only thing I fancied, every one figured it was “a phase I was going through and would grow out of it”. It never happened.…

My Teaching Philosophy I believe that education is a necessity and very vital to the development of human beings and to the world. It’s important that we record and collect, past events, findings and other important information, that would be passed down to the next generation and the generations to come. Teaching is the reason, the cause and core of technology, science, and everything else. Without the knowledge of the past we would not be able to advance into the future. For example, as an adolescent we are taught about our surroundings and how we are to adapt to it, which makes us become better people and individuals.…

To believe that the person that I am supposed to be is a person who lives by the passion that fuels them - a mantra that I tell myself every single day. Passion is something that not many people are able to find and it has taken me two years to tap into. When I graduated from the University of Louisville in 2015 with my Bachelors Degree in Health and Human Performance I just knew I was destined to be an Occupational Therapist, by having the desire to want to help people in a special type of way. Then, I quickly realized that I was not quite ready for graduate school. I wanted to do something more, something that was not about me – so I did.…
