Partnering in care can be defined as partnering care between patients, their families and health service staff based upon mutual respect and trust for health care planning and decision making, Patients, are not only more informed, supported and listened to, but move from a passive stance to active stance. Consequently, this has proved to increase patient experience, supports a responsive health care system and improves clinical outcomes radically.
