Back then when I was in elementary school, I cheated on my weekly quiz for a few times. In the progress of searching an article, the word “partial confession” in the title caught my eye. Titled ““I Cheated, but Only a Little”: Partial Confessions to Unethical Behavior”, Shaul Shalvi, Eyal Peer and Alessandro Acquisti wrote this article on the February issue of Journal of Personality and Social Psychology in 2014. The article talks about how sometimes people make a partial confession instead a full confession. However, partial confessions do come at a price. People are known to feel worse than having confessed or not confessed at all.
