Whaling at the top of his lungs as he runs as fast as a two year olds little legs can go. He reaches the door his mother just walked out of shutting the child safety gate behind her. The child falls to his knees on the other side of the gate as his mom leaves the building. How can a mother abandon her child like that? I see this quite often throughout my time working at a local daycare. But the amazing thing is it changes throughout the time. The same boy Oakley, a month into his day care experience walks in through that gate like a professional. He finds his favorite toy truck gives mom a kiss she walks out the door and there is no crying. Now that is progress in the eyes of a daycare worker. Many people may feel it is horrible parenting
