Selecting the right employee is only the first step to ensuring that they will be successful in your organization. Making sure employees know what to do and how to do is the purpose of training and development (Dessler, 2013). Designing and implementing the employee orientation or onboarding process, providing opportunities for skill development and training, and giving constructive feedback are all important for an employee to reach their full potential and perform effectively.

Empowering employees to make decisions for themselves through coaching is the focus of this video podcast. What is coaching and how is it being used and how are organizations training leaders and managers to utilize coaching are some of the topics that will be addressed.
