Martin Luther King, Jr. was born January 15, 1929 in Atlanta Georgia and his death was on April 5, 1968, in Memphis Tennessee. He was a Baptist minister and social activist who seeked freedom and equality for everyone including African Americans. To help him fulfil these goals he and many others held peaceful protests, which led to many other events such as, The Montgomery Bus Boycott and the March on Washington. These events were a part of the Civil Rights Movement which Martin played a big role in. The Civil Rights Movement was a time when African Americans needed to fight for the same rights as everyone else because of social justice. Martin Luther King, Jr. also wrote a book known as “Stride Toward Freedom” which explained what Acquiescence, violence, and nonviolent resistance was, and how it added to the Civil Rights Movement.. I feel very strongly about this topic since it goes against many others rights as a human being. It doesn’t just wound the unborn child it kills it, and the procedure itself can cause more damage by causing pain to both the fetus and the woman. Many women believe this is the most efficient way to get rid of an unwanted child - in some ways they are right - but it is not the most beneficial. There are other options that can not only save the child but also rid the woman from mental or physical pain after the procedure, one being adoption. Adoption allows that child to have a chance to live in a loving family’s home who may not be able to have children. Doctors, nurses, and/or parents should make it a priority to inform women of all their options because when one gets pregnant it is not just their life they need to think about but the baby’s as
