Nursing excellence is a multifaceted and complex area that required diligence and perseverance in order to accomplish excellence. If we look at nursing and the many areas that we touch on daily, such as health care reform, affordable health care, protection of the patient and their rights, and increased healthcare outcomes and satisfaction for all parties, it is easy to see how complex the subject matter really is (Mason, Gardner, Outlaw, & O 'Grady, 2016). In this discussion, I will talk about two nursing organizations and identify their purpose, impact on nursing practice, nursing education, and nursing research. As health care and its delivery system is evolving and changing quickly the medical professionals are rethinking their roles in the field. The role of the health and medicine division is to make a blueprint to guide nurses through this transformation. Through unbiased research they are assisting nurses in overcoming barriers they will encounter to allow them to work within their full scope of practice as well as discovering new ways to provide better care faster, (Health and Science Division, 2013). Although this organization does not push nurses to higher degrees they are constantly exploring the roles of education and training with the nurses in their present status of education. Through this organization, we can utilize nurses to the highest capacities, thereby reducing costs by eliminating specialties and providing preventive education to the public and also community based nursing verses acute care …show more content…
Both organizations have value in creating nursing excellence and personally I would support both organizations. Both organizations assist in creating an environment that supports excellence, but from different aspects. The Health and Medicine Division is looking at current practices and finding new and better ways of achieve this goal. The National League of Nurses are educating todays nurses, as well as the educators for tomorrow nurses, to ensure that nursing excellence is part of the core for which we all strive to
