Nurses also may have to work longer shifts for other staff members that can’t make it in that day. “For we who nurse, our nursing is something which, unless we are making progress every year, every month, every week, we are going back. No system shall endure which does not march” (“goodreads”). In nursing individuals may not make progress with the long days. But in a week or even a month have made some progress. Individuals get good pay, meet new people, and they also get good benefits from what they do for their career. These individuals get paid for the energy they put into their job also they will meet the patient's family and friends. Sometimes they may not be very happy. But the nurses will still meet them. So therefore you meet new people. The type of person that would be most likely succeed in the nursing field are the type of people that can deal with angry patients and also the patients family. They will also need to be able to deal with stress because the individual may have a lot of stress about their patients and how the patient is doing. These individuals will also get angry patients if the patient does not get his or her way. They will also get angry or upset families because they do not like what is happening. “High school aged students should consider nursing as a career because they make good pay, and many of the female nurses will get so much of their maternity leave paid for, they also have excellent work hours” (McMahon).
