Nail Clipping: It is important to regularly check your dogs nails this is because long claws on your dog poses health risks, the legs and posture, nails can curl around and embed into your dogs pad this can be very uncomfortable and painful, it can also lead to an infection if left. We can offer to trim your dogs nails in our salon, there is a small vessel called a quick it is found in all dogs. Sometimes the nail can be cut to short and catch the quick this can make the nail bleed but don’t panic we have plenty of products to stop the bleeding in our salon and we will let you know if this does happen.

We can offer ear cleaning for your dog at our salon this can reduce the risk of ear infections. If anything is put down the ear canal this can be extremely dangerous, we would never put an implement down your dogs ear to far.
Some breeds you will find grow a lot of hair in and around the ear canal, we can offer to pluck these hairs out as it also can lead to ear infections due to lack of air circulating your dogs ear. It is quite an uncomfortable procedure for your dog but we make sure we only pluck a few hairs at a time and give your dog a rest to lesson this discomfort.
Hygienic Clipping: Hair around your dog’s anus and genitals can get very dirty and smelly. We can offer a hygiene clip, which id shaving around the anus and genital area to allow your dog to defecate without it getting caught up in the hair and prevent urine staining your dog’s fur. There is a lot of sensitive spots in these areas whilst clipping, nipples, anus and genitals. There is a small risk of catching these areas that is why the groomer will take there time and be very gentle and careful
