Although I’ll admit I’ve procrastinated at times, for the next two years I look forward to avoid doing so because I know, from past experience, how terrible a habit it is. The work created as a group has taken so many hours of hard work and dedication to complete, mostly because literary analyses have many different factors. From the thesis, to literature approaches, and going into the details of the literary devices used. The theme of our essay was failure, and it seems pretty ironic, because the main motivation to write it was to pass the class. At times, it seemed that none of us knew what to do, or how to write. What kept us motivated most of all had to be the perseverance of meeting deadlines.…

I never considered myself to be an excellent writer but still thought I wrote well enough to get my point across without confusing the reader too much. However, any confidence that I had in my writing skills was lost for a short time when I had to write my first timed essay in school. Luckily, the timed essay assignment also helped me see that I needed to work on my writing and, as a result, actually turned out to be a more positive experience rather than a negative one. It was just another regular school day that was near its end, and I had one more class to go to before everyone was released to go home.…

Without the shadow, a person would become completely controlled by the unconscious which would create an unbalance of the psyche. Typically, the shadow is the opposite of your true self. It’s the person with no control who runs solely off of their primal instincts. The closer it gets the crazier my mind thinks and can turn a simple drip of a sink into the scariest situation. “This Woman Suffers From Six Hours Of Orgasms A Day.” Imagine reading this article title while in a lecture or whatever class. You’re trying to pay attention and write down notes, then all of a sudden you see that headline along with detailed pictures. It happened to me during my Molecular and Cellular Biology 150 lecture and I was completely caught off guard; my focus on the lecture completely halted and transferred to the article I saw on the screen in front of me. I actually began reading along and when I noticed what was happening, I snapped out of it and focused on the task at hand: paying attention to the lecture.…

I can’t say that writing essays has been one of my strong points but I believe that this course has helped me improve tremendously and it has also made me feel a lot more comfortable with my writing. While in high school I would usually write all of my essays a day before the due date a habit of mine that was very difficult to overcome, but now I have learned from my mistakes.…
