Cameron Kuil My Responsibility to America
America was built on many different views, but most importantly it was built on freedom. I, as an American think I live in one of the greatest countries on this earth and want to do what is right to keep it that way. As young Americans we have many responsibilities to live up to, the simple things like to learn, obey, and vote. I think the ability to learn and our intelligence as humans is one of the greatest gifts that god has given us. Education in our schools is our own responsibility and is what I view as a big aspect of what our future is going to look like. Learning is not only important in school, but it is important to learn from others so we can get a different aspect of things, even if they aren’t specifically what is considered right to believe in. Like I said earlier, we are a country built on freedom and everyone has the right to have their own opinion. Lastly, we can learn from our families. Some of the greatest’s lessons taught come from someone in the family that can be held onto for a whole lifetime. Another great responsibility I hold myself accounted for is to obey. I am not quite eighteen yet and will not be able to vote in this upcoming presidential election, but definitely would if I could. Voting is important for America right now, the present because it effects all of us today and how we live. It also effects the future and what our future kids or family is going to have to live with, which is something to consider when we are voting. One vote could change everything! Who we vote for represents our country, and also us as Americans across the whole world.
