The Importance Of My Music Life

“Music has healing power. It has the ability to take people out of themselves for a few hours.” This is a famous quote from Elton John. This relates to my music life because music rejuvenates me and helps me when I’m sad. When I’m frustrated or irate I’ll play my flute or sing because it allows me to let out my emotions. I’m very ecstatic that I can participate in music at school through band class. Band gives me an intermission in my day, an opportunity to direct others, and a unique kind of family.
One reason why I enjoy band so much is because it gives me a break from my day at school. This class is very flexible and that is exactly what I need to recollect myself and get ready for the rest of my day. Also, my band director is very nice and lenient, so she lets us to be free from stern core class teachers. Furthermore, all my band directors in the past have been the same way and I feel that it’s a wonderful thing because music is meant to be fun, not tethered and too

It brings us all together and gives each of us something to be a part of outside of our homes. We all support each other and stick up for each other no matter what. At one performance, one of my peers was playing with the chorus to provide a little background music, and a student from another musical group was making fun of them and saying mean things about their playing skills. I didn’t like how they were treating my friend, so I told them that it wasn’t necessary to be saying those things and that my friend was doing a great job. This is an example of how we stick up for each other and no matter what have each others’ backs. Second, we can talk to anyone in band and they are very nice because they know you like a brother or sister. We all have a certain connection with each other none of us can find in any other class. Band kids have families that we go home to everyday, but we also have the one that we find in each other at
