Growing up I lived in Georgia I was a talkative person and I had many friends which I know for about four year, but changed when I moved to South Carolina which I had a difficult time making new friends and made me a shy person who some would even say I was a hermit. I didn’t want to do anything but sit in my room alone. The only people I would even talk to were a small group of my closes friends and they had of hard time for me to go out and have fun with them. That started too changed when my parents gave me my first gaming console which was the PlayStation 3 which came with a headset that had a mic, so I could talk and listen to other players. I took the headset and put it away knowing I was not going to talk to anyone. I would just play …show more content…
When my friends and I played these games we strategies so we can win the match. When we think of a strategy we think what the best course of action is and what the worst think that can happen is. Doing this helps me make a decision even if it’s a serious one and when the worst thing that could happen does happen it I can adapt to it and hopefully make it better. This process also helps me with critical thinking where I have to think my steps through to get the best answer. Sports game also helped me become a better team player. My friends and I would play games like Madden which is a football game and NBA2k were this is a basketball game. Playing this sports with my friends help for you have to work with each other to win the game like should I pass to him or should I trust in him to score. This helped me when I was doing group projects in school making me work with people. Taking their ideas and trusting that they know what they are doing. A negative effect of this is that it did make me have trust issues which aren’t really is not a bad …show more content…
The friends I made along the way teaches me about places I have not been yet. Like I got two friends that live in Michigan and that when it snow in Michigan it’s about a foot of snow and they act like it is the normal day, but when it snow down south the people down here act like the world is ending. This told me that even in the same country people act differently to the weather. I got military friends that talk about how the army really is and not what I thought the army was really like. They told me most of the time when they are not training or doing anything serious they are messing around with people in their platoon. But I got friends in other countries to like on person he lives in Britain, and tell me what different from the US and the UK. Like they drive on the opposite side of the street then we do and they really do say telly when they mean TV. I also meet people from Canada and Ireland but haven’t have much time to talk to them do to time zones. From just playing video games I meet people in different states then me and people from other countries learning different cultures and how different the north is from the south in America. This experienced helped me became friend from different types of people.
When playing games people think of someone who stays in a dark room playing games for hours and rarely show themselves but in my case it was the opposite, but
