I started to apply in some fast food restaurants, but they were always asking me for a social security number.I stressed because i really wanted to work in order to help my family to pay some bills and some other economic stuff. It started to bother me and I thought about going back to Mexico. My brothers and sister wanted to have the life that my friends had. They were able to go visit their family out of the United States and travel around without fear of being deport or get caught by immigration. I thought that is was the best to return to Mexico. I was planning on continue with my education. but not here. I felt helpless when I applied for college scholarships and they did not accept it because I do not have a social security …show more content…
She gave up. She went back to Mexico and now lives on her own. She thought that life would be better there, but it is not. She regrets her decision and the hardship it brought to my family. I will not have to make that type of a decision if I can do a DACA application. Not only will I graduate, but I will have a high GPA (3.74) in college prep classes. I have worked hard to keep good grades and I work hard to improve education for the English learners at my school who have just arrived. I tutor them in English. I also help with the homeless outreach services at St. Francis Church in Vista. I was also selected as Student of the Year at Vista High School among the English Language learners. I have the hope of attending college to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in nursing to become a registered nurse. I am applying to colleges now. I don’t talk about these accomplishments to brag, but to show that my parents’ decision to struggle to make a better life is not going to be wasted on me if I can be allowed to work and attend
