This project allowed me to realize that my diet is very erratic most days. I believe some of this is because I live in a dorm and I have to use my meal plan. I am very picky eater so that does not help in my erratic diet. I notice many times that I eat because I am bored. Also, I need to eat while I study to stay focused. My meal plan shows the mental and emotional state that I felt before and after I ate the meal. I believe this is a very important aspect of the dietary analysis because it shows how you feel and what you ate while you were feeling that way. I noticed a trend that when I was very stressed that I would eat very unhealthy. A vegetable I could include in my diet to make sure I am getting the adequate amount of vitamin A are carrots. I picked this food because I enjoy eating carrots as a snack or with dinner. This would be easy to add to my daily diet because I could include the carrots for a snack or even for dinner. A food I could add to make sure I am meeting my vitamin b12, choline, and riboflavin intakes are eggs. I enjoy eating eggs for breakfast, but it is very hard to get to the cafeteria before they stop making eggs. This would be realistic if I could wake up early to go and get breakfast before class starts. A fruit that I could add to my diet to meet the criteria for vitamin C are strawberries. I picked this fruit because I enjoy eating strawberries for breakfast or as a snack. A food I could add to my diet to incorporate both vitamin K and folate is a salad. I enjoy eating the mixed blend that has romaine lettuce and spinach. This would be perfect in my diet because I tend to eat a lot of salad for lunch and dinner. I am very picky eater so sometimes it is hard to find foods that I enjoy eating, but in the last year I have expanded my diet. I have also noticed since being at college for 2 years now my diet has gone downhill. When I was in high school, I considered myself very healthy and I did not eat that much fast food because my parents would make dinner every night.
