I diligently attended class and took thorough notes but I did not put in any effort into the class works or group discussions which resulted in my poor performance during the first year of college. At that same time, I was going through a break up and was depressed for a few months, and that created a negative impact in the social, mental and physical aspects of my teenage life. I had already taken a variety of core classes that fulfill the prerequisites and I am ready to enter the psychology major as soon as I matriculate at the University of Washington. I want to strive in a psychology major because I want to be able to provide professional assistance and guidance to anyone who is struggling in life. Seattle Central College has offered a multitude of career options to choose from and for me to advance in my education, I will have to transfer into a four-year institution. I believe the University of Washington will allow me to explore my options furthermore and find my true calling in this society. As a career choice, I want to work as a counselor or a social worker. Occasionally, a family friend questions how the overall family is doing and investigates the career and education choices of my generation. After classes came to an end, I then transferred to Schoolcraft College (for financial reasons I decided to finish my prerequisites for nursing school elsewhere). At my stay at Schoolcraft College, I made the Dean’s list, was initiated into the Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa, and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Science. After graduation, I decided to take a nursing assistant program at Schoolcraft College, which I have recently completed. I wanted to get my four year degree and be done. However, I became under the impression that there was not a lot I could do in psychology with only a bachelor's degree. This was obviously prior to this course, which has already informed me that there are many options and that most psych majors do not attend grad school. Regardless of this new information, I am now seriously considering grad school but have not narrowed down a path.
