As with any formal institution, there will be a chain of command in my classroom that should be followed whenever possible. Our classroom will be a democracy and students will be allowed to vote on topics or provide feedback on activities, but I will be the final say in the classroom. This strategy is based on her findings that almost all misbehaviors can be narrowed down into four categories: attention, power, revenge, and avoidance of failure. I have noticed these misbehaviors in the classroom and I think this strategy will be an effective tool to help minimize misbehaviors. The three C’s stand for Capable, Connect, and Contribute. I want to connect with my students, show them they are capable of doing their work, and help them see how they can contribute.
