The philosophers have only interpreted the world,in various ways. The point, however ,is to change it. Even though there can be countless arguments, there is no right or wrong. Recently, students in CUHK are debatingg the contract renewal of an Islamic restaurant. Even though arguments from both sides are well-supported, I would still like to offer some possible solutions. From what I have observed, the major disputes are about multiculturalism, fairness and quality of food.

Multiculturalism is one of the characteristics of Hong Kong, meaning we have to embrace and respect different culture. Some think that it is legitimate to renew the contract of islamic canteen because muslim is one of the cultures in Hong Kong. It is estimate there are

But Rousseau thinks there is no difference to primitive society when the minority yield to the majority as this is not democracy. There is no point to argue which party should be prioritized. However, I still believe that renewing the contract can help encourage multiculturalism. On one hand, renewing allows islams to continue to stay; on the other, it allows local student to try different food. People are willing to embrace different culture when they have experienced how special it is. And so, we can also provide some opt-out solutions for islams. If they want to try other food, there will be local restaurants available in CUHK. For those, who really wanted to stick with islam, we have to respect them because everyone has the freedom of religion in Hong Kong. Everyone deserves a good life and one of the aspects is autonomy. People should have the autonomy to choose what they desire when it doesn’t violate others. Also, we respect people not because we wanted to be respected but because this is moral and we gain happiness from …show more content…
When people wanted to help others, they don’t think logically, but rather use their emotions. It means we wanted to help others because we fell compassionate for their situation, given that we are fine. Inequality is usually felt for oneself. Normal restaurants felt that it is unfair to renew the contract because they currently do not have places to set up. If everyone has the place, then they wont bother the contract renewal of Islamic restaurants. However, resources are limited and the question becomes who should be satisfied first. If we satisfied those with the greatest contribution, it would be unfair to Islamic restaurant as they have less chance to contribute where there is only little islams in CUHK. If we renew the contract directly, it would be at odds with our conduct as we are inclined to help the same ethnicity first. To create fairness for both parties, I believe we can solve this problem by combing the restaurants. Local chief and Islamic chief work in the Islamic restaurant together and are responsible to cook their own dishes but local chief cannot violate the rules in Quran. This is because the space is reserved for the Islamic restaurant. People may then argue that why should locals yield to the islams but I want to say absolute equality is impossible and the only way we could do is minimize the disparity. Hence I think we can

The government is not just trying to make us aware of unhealthy foods; they are trying to stop us from eating it all together. In the governments “war” on unhealthy food, they are forcing healthier options on people for food options which are not only the unfavorable option for most, but also the more expensive. People usually go to a restaurant not only for the convenience; the most important element is that the restaurant has delicious food, which they cannot make it at home; also other restaurant cannot make that taste. I mean it should be has some more special than other restaurant, such as, the service very well or the special environment as so on. For me, the most elements adjust a restaurant it should be they pick up the fresh ingredients used in the food. That is the crucial for customers; they don’t want to send money payment for a bad or worse food. In the past few months, I have been spend time to try many different style foods.…

I still believe that they should be labeled.I don’t think the government and GMO companies should be deciding what we should know about our food. If the food is safe and has almost no difference from organic food they might as well label it. When they do not label it, it makes it seem like they are trying to hide something from us People should have a choice in what they eat and feed their…

This income should not come from increasing prices on the menu or overcharging. The menu prices should be lowered in order to better compete with other restaurants in the area. The prices are for a fine dining restaurant and if Ali plans to keep the prices the same he will need to redesign to be more formal. Sales would be better if he lowered some of the prices and created a more cultural experience for the customers. It has an advantage of being the only restaurant in Bowling Green with Arabic and Indian cuisine.…

Carrefour saw the qualifying condition as a plus point since it would entail sharing the liability of ownership between the parties involved. In addition, the UAE is characterized by a strong food culture with religious and cultural restriction; thus, if it operated as a joint undertaking with a local sponsor, it would be easier to obtain food health certificates like the halal slaughter certificate and to import food. Furthermore, Carrefour would be subject to the same barriers as the sponsors, or none at all, on most inventories, including some items such as cigarettes. 12-14. Why do you think Carrefour chose UAE as a stepping stone to expand into the Middle East?…

The reason why is because the no one is forcing them to eat it but rather themselves. If they chose to eat the product which will lead to a disease, then it was their choice to eat it not anyone else’s. Then the food industry is just making money off what they have been doing and if it’s to make it taste better than it’s the person job to do exercise or search vegetables and/or fruits. Thus, the theory nutritionism will still be in use, moreover people can choose to continue the path of a bad health or on a healthy one. As I disagree with Pollen but not all the way as he has stated the problem but honestly, it’s all up to the person to escape from the western diet.…
