Only a few students have said that they, or people they know, have been contacted by the Starfish Early Alert System. They do not seem to be aware of many of the tutoring or computer laboratory options, nor do they seem to know what to do if they are feeling overwhelmed or confused about the material they are studying. This seems to be a dichotomy between what is encouraged by the college that needs to be explored, because it is possible that these students are not aware of the use of literacy supports or have trouble taking responsibility of their own educational needs.
