Transhumanists are in favour of the idea of moral and cognitive enhancement, and believe that human nature has the capabilities of improving itself through the use of applied science and other methods. Transhumanists believe that enhancement capabilities give humans the opportunity to expand their lifespans, more control over one’s feelings and mental state, and to allow the advancement of physical and intellectual capabilities. Transhumanists believe that the accessibility to human enhancing technologies should be made widely available for human usage, and which technologies they should be able to give to their offspring’s. It is very realistic to that embracing cognitive enhancement could greatly speed up human intellect, and change the way that humans acquire knowledge. It has been suggested that enhanced mathematicians and scientists could have been able to discover a much more advanced state of of knowledge than unenhanced mathematicians and scientists have ever been able to reach. While enhanced scholars would have been able to reach this stage at one point, it does not mean that unenhanced scientists would never be able to reach this state, however much slower. The question cognitive enhancement brings, is whether it is desirable to speed up the knowledge gaining process, that would have taken humans longer to determine in order to advance with scientific knowledge? It is possible that acquiring knowledge too quickly could potentially endanger putting mankind in danger of creating technology that could be a potential nuclear weapon. To eliminate the threat of placing technological power in the hands of the wrong people, it would be necessary to combine any cognitive enhancement with moral enhancement. The prospect of quickly expanding our scientific knowledge would be dangerous, because we are only still in the process of acquiring it. If humans decide to reach maximum knowledge too quickly, it may risk killing
