Since the emergence of the first commercial cell phone in the market in 1983, mobile phone adoption rate has been growing with an increasingly fast pace. According to The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) estimation in February of 2013, there are 6.8 billion mobile subscriptions worldwide. This means the penetration rate in the global population is about 96 percent cite{ITU:2013:Online2}.
