Some say these devices are brilliant. Others say mobile devices have negative effects on our lives. If they are right this could pose a big problem. How big of a problem? According to a recent research done by Pew Research Center, as of October 2014 it is estimated that 90% of adults in America own a cell phone, and 64% of those adults own a smartphone. Many under age students and children have a cell phone as well. That's an incredibly large number of people in this country who own mobile devices. Its incredible all of the things we can do with the pieces of hardware that nestle in our pockets. From an educational point of view learning can be much more proficient when we have our mobile devices with us to help teach and guide us. Dr. Pere Marques Graell, who is a director of research at the University of Barcelona preformed a yearlong study and found that children who used tablets in their class efforts had boosted learning capabilities and understanding of new concepts.
