Imagine a stranger that you have never seen judging you based on a stereotype and having incorrect misconceptions about you. Stereotyping and having misconceptions about people is harsh, but it is a common and an inevitable action that humans practice on a daily basis. Stereotypes are based on truths, but they eventually lead to misconceptions due to stereotypes being exaggerated. People use stereotypes to categorize a group of people, creating mental pictures about them, which then leads to social categorization. Misconceptions are created because people assume that a person does or has something because they are part of a group. The act of people stereotyping and establishing misconceptions usually occurs to college students. Society often categorize college students placing stereotypes and misconceptions on them like being irresponsible, immature, lazy, and unhealthy.

Having a sibling that is a college student and living under the same roof as me, I get the opportunity to see the hardships and stressful situations that a college student experiences. The life of a college student can be more than a fun filled and extravagant adventure. It often includes worrying and having ups and downs due to obstacles that many of them face depending on the conflicts that each individual is going through. For these young adults, college can be an extremely difficult challenge and a drastic change in their lives. Therefore, many of the college students take working up to their future very seriously and are committed. Also college students are students, so they definitely need to be calm some time of the day to go to school as well as to study at home. This side of college students can be true and not always considered or viewed by other
