The Importance Of Materialistic Society

I’ve noticed over the past few years that so many little kids younger then my brother Sawyer have the latest and greatest technology. What happened to little kids running around outside and playing not stuck inside all day playing video games and eating junk food? What happened to parents who dealt with their spoiled brat children and not letting them run around the place like little heavens? I have seen so many children lately smoking kids who are 12 or 13 years old. My brothers age. Our society has become this materialistic throw away. We have become a materialistic society with mankind seeking satisfaction and happiness through materials and believing that their happiness can be purchased. Solutions to materialism are too stop making shopping trips recreational and something that you have to do too have fun. Visit thrift shops and go to yard sales and buy stuff that is in good condition and is able to be reused and given a new purpose instead of letting it be tossed aside. Another way to stop being materialistic is to become environmentally conscience and give thought too our world and the way our eco system is. Reduce reuse and recycle. granted all of these things have drawbacks. a child might feel that they will be made fun of wearing used clothing from goodwill and experience embarrassment they they are visiting a thrift store. As well as a teenager might feel left out because all of her friends brag on social media platforms about their latest recreational shopping trip they just had because they felt like they had too shop too have fun It also might be hard in places to recycle and stand by it because so many people don't and it's considered easier just to throw stuff away instead of repurposing it. We would have a form of utopia and the ability to show the people around us that we care and are able to do stuff that will allow our children and their future children too grow up in a place that isn't polluted with waste and thrown away objects that could have been recycled and put to another use and given to someone who can use them in a beneficial way. especially helpful for the people who are unable to provide much for their family and are not able too keep up with our current material addicting
