The quote to me explains that in order to find what we need to know about ourselves, than we need to find the guidance through God’s work. We also need to find the desire since sometimes we may find things that we do not wish to know about ourselves. I believe that God speaks to us daily through small signs, or perhaps even larger ones. This past weekend when i took a walk, i listened closely to try and hear God. During the beginning of school they talked about the W curve for when you arrive, and how at some times you will be at a low or high. Lately i felt like i was down at the bottom of one of the curves. Taking a walk and listening to God really helped provide the insight that i desired. I realized that although i may be have troubles, there is a reason for them. God gives us hardships to make us into a better, stronger person for in the future. That i may not like what is happening at the moment there are many things i can do to change. This led me to working more on my schoolwork, as well as making more time for my family. Some things work better for some people, and other ways better for others. Not being close to my family was something that was affecting me, and bringing me more down than usual. I started praying regularly, for a long time that was about it. I started to wonder what was blocking me from forming a stronger relationship with God. One day I asked myself the question, “Is it possible to have a good relationship with God and still hate myself?” I determined that due to low self esteem and guilt from past mistakes, I was still pretending to be something I wasn’t because I didn’t value the person I am. I was trying to be a disciple of Christ when it suited me and a “likeable” person when that suited me. I was trying to just look good on paper instead of really being good.…

Delicate concepts like these take time and much effort in order to flourish. Such characteristics "will appear not necessarily while we are praying or soon after we begin a habit of prayer, but gradually over time" (Koch). With prayer, my faith has also reached heights that I once would have deemed unimaginable. Instead of doubting the rise of something good happening when things are often falling apart, I talk to God and ask Him for guidance. Because of this, my faith and hope for better days has strengthened me.…

It would be an honored to be someone the students can look up to and someone they can turn to for help. Throughout my time in school, I have met so many wonderful teachers who have inspired me to want to be like them. Finding the best career is an important choice in life because no one would want to do something they dislike doing their whole life. I have been trying really hard to find something I really enjoy doing and I believe that being an elementary school teacher is something I can enjoy doing the rest of my life. I would love to interact with children and not only be able to teach them but also learn from them.…

I think the Holy Spirit is often discounted as a member of the Trinity because people do not understand the role it plays in their lives. It is easy to grasp the concept that God the Father created us and the world. God is often the person we pray to so it is unlikely that we would discount him from the Trinity. In addition to that Jesus is God’s only son. We hear countless stories about the Son of God.…

Accepting that some parts of my brain are out of my control and finding a sense of normalcy in shared experiences can help me not be too harsh on myself and promote a more positive self-image. When I struggle with my anxiety, I can turn to scripture and godly people who want what’s best for me. All in all, how well I adjust to college has a lot to do with my biopsychosocial weaknesses and strengths, but it is far from out of my control. My actions in response to the possible outcomes decide my success as much as, if not more than the hand I’ve been…
