The Importance Of Listening To God

We are continuously learning about the world around us, through school, and most

importantly about ourselves. My mother always told me that you learning something new every day. I still use this saying to this day, and never can forget it since it is so true. The quote from Carham i think resonates with me really well with this fact. Although it is taking it in a different sense than we usually think about. Most people do not look through God’s work to try and find themselves. The quote to me explains that in order to find what we need to know about ourselves, than we need to find the guidance through God’s work. We also need to find the desire since sometimes we may find things that we do not wish to know about ourselves. I believe that God speaks to us daily through small signs, or perhaps even larger ones. This past weekend when i took a walk, i listened closely to try and hear God. During the beginning of school they talked about the W curve for when you arrive, and how at some times you will be at a low or high. Lately i felt like i was down at the bottom of one of the curves. Taking a walk and listening to God really helped provide the insight that i desired. I realized that although i may be have troubles, there is a reason for them. God gives us hardships to make us into a better, stronger person for in the future. That i may not like what is happening at the moment there are many things i can do to change. This led me to working more on my schoolwork, as well as making more time for my family. Some things work better for some people, and other ways better for others. Not being close to my family was something that was affecting me, and bringing me more down than usual. Listening to God, let me know that it is okay that if i contact them more than usual, it will be okay. He has provided me with a great life, and being able to still learn from him is
