Stephen R. Covey once said, “Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply” Stephen is implying that people don't just listen to each other but to not actually think of what the person said, but instead just respond to that person. This is something that has to make a change people have to understand what is coming out of the speaker and also understand how to respond to the speaker. In the play A Raisin In The Sun by Lorraine Hansberry, a family of color by the name of the Youngers are going through a rough time with money situations. Throughout this play, money isn’t the only situation that is occurring, but additionally, characters not being heard by anyone even when they have something good to say and not so stupid nonsense that is not useful. Being not heard in life is not a thing you want to achieve in life but the fact to be heard is somewhere you have to get to, and people need to realize it's for the benefit of both people hearing each other out for what they have to say.
