My Love For Myself In Ayn Rand's Anthem

Deciding what you want for yourself can be ideally difficult, especially when you’re only 17 and haven’t fully lived life. We still need to grow and figure everything out. I can agree with this knowing that such as myself and various others, we can all say we weren’t the same person we were a year ago or even 3 months ago. So what do I want most in life?

First, Equality 7-2521 is an authentic cerebral person in the book Anthem. Equality noticed situations other people didn’t, it almost seemed as if his brain was the only one that was screwed on right. He wanted to be in the home of the scholars so he worked himself up there. For example, in the story of Prometheus, Prometheus saw that the other gods were just enjoying themselves by drinking and eating while there was people suffering. He knew what he wanted to do and what needed to be done so, he went boldly to Jupiter and begged him to give fire to men. I can relate to this due to the fact that I once had a friend and he was so skinny and I knew his parents didn’t take are of him. We being the imperfect humans that we are, we need to use critical thinking to solve problems and basically go through life. For example, you can’t become aware of a problem if you can’t solve it. Analyze problems independently is an enormous part of this. A time I used critical thinking was recently. I have put myself on a diet and I was close to eating something unhealthy like chips and candy. I had a sudden thought, if I ate chips I would feel guilty and i’ll never change as a person. If I never change the way I eat, then I will not see
