At one point I was really struggling with understanding what was asked or needed from me to complete this class. Confluence helped me by jumping into the unknown of each quiz and assessment. I don’t like taking test more than once, although I knew I can take them up to three times. I didn’t want to, my philosophy is one and done. Get it right the first time. During the course of this class, I learned how to use Sequence more by structuring my homework and assignments to fit my schedule at work and home. I took my quizzes, assessments, and responses on Saturday. Sunday I would do my discussions and assignments on Sunday. My Sequence pattern thrived on the responses of my teacher and my peers, I enjoyed to read others views on what I wrote. I always hope that someone else would relate to what I wrote about. Technical Reasoning is the one Pattern that is hard for me to identify with, but it was interesting for me to figure out how I used this pattern. I noticed I used this pattern when I am introduced to a new assignment. I always get writers block. At first I don’t know what to write about, when I read the instructions. I usually read, ponder the points, and find the relativity and practicality of what I need to do to complete a task. Once I get passed those thoughts everything seems to work out. Precision is the last of the patterns that I need to discuss, the benefit of Precision is needing clear and precise instructions. I like to be accurate in all areas of class, taking test is the worse for me, especially when I get all of the answers right but

The discussions help me to see what we had in common, what worked for us and what we were struggling with. Just to have that support helped a lot and gave me a break from my own paper – just reading and reviewing my classmate’s paper gave me a clear perspective on my own paper. This was a very useful exercise for me and I’m quite sure for my peers. Reflecting on Revisions The eLearning materials we received throughout this writing process were great. In this section I was able to focus on my paper and make sure all my in cited work was correct that my thesis was added to my introduction and I read my paper out loud to myself and several of my family members.…

What I enjoyed most about this course is learning about my peer’s interests and the ways they learn. Reading other students thoughts, opinions, and descriptions helps to broaden my view of the way I learn. I was able to learn a lot from my fellow classmates and apply it to my daily routines. Getting feedback from my instructor and classmates also helped to provide me with a wider aspect of thinking. I don’t necessarily like to read feedback from my posts, but reading them has helped me to understand that what I am posting is gaining the interest of my readers as well as giving me some pointers and ideas from my instructor for my future posts.…

Finally, revising drafts and receiving feedback from my teacher and classmates has helped for the most part. While I seemed to find constructive feedback from my teacher, my classmates could have been more supportive. While reading some feedback all I would get is compliments for some people, while its flattering to be complimented, I would rather have tips on how my writing get better. Creating these writing pieces has taught me a lot about my voice and audience and has allowed me to reflect on my…

Basically, every time we’ve done emulation exercises, we’ll respond to our classmates. By reading others work, I believe that’s the way that I can inspire by others ideas, but not limit in my own thinking. When I’m not in the zone, sometimes my mind can be really narrow, and that can’t create great writing. So reading others’ work and learning their skills is a good way of improving my own skills. I remember there’s a time that we…

The “Thinking” method of learning is my second best category and I think to stay in that category I will just continue to do as I have been. I will continue to analyze the entire situation and write my lists so that I can stay on track and focused on the topic at hand. As well as continuing to use my textbook, the library, and other logical resources to complete my studies and work. The one thing that I don’t agree with is that they say that people who learn by the “Thinking” method tend to like when their instructors give well informed lectures on the topic. Since I have a hard time staying focused on speeches this is a part of this style of learning that doesn’t fit me very well.…

This is done by raising clear questions, gathering and assessing information, and thinking open mindedly about alternative ideas. It requires effective communication and problem solving as well as a drive to overcome naïve egocentric behavior. I prepared for class by always coming with thought provoking questions. I tried to practice this with my peers by asking other students why they shared their idea or how they understood the reading. By understanding how my classmates were thinking it furthered my own understanding of the reading.…

It showed us that people can use rhetoric to prove something but that not everything is what it seems. The course has provided great examples to show how rhetoric is used in everyday issues. From taking this course I feel confident enough to move on and take upper level writing courses, Also the course made us write relevant papers that later on proves to help with studies that involve my major more directly. Artifact one shows how the class taught us to be mindful of the consequences of what we write because every action has a reaction that later has positive or negative results. Actifact two shows that we learn from our failures.…
