As a freshman on multiple occasions I have spoken to other students, teachers, and peers reminding me about the importance one’s resume has in your future. Another aspect employers expect in order to achieve long term career success, as stated by the American Association for College and Universities, is “The majority of employers think that having both field-specific knowledge and skills and a broad range of skills and knowledge that apply to a variety of fields is important for recent college graduates. ("Falling Short? College Learning and Career Success").” Consequently, college students not only need to obtain a high level of understanding in their chosen field, but they also need to be knowledgeable in many other areas as well. This proves how it can be difficult to acquire the amount of knowledge needed for long term success, while being an undergraduate student due to the high demand to be versatile in multiple academic areas. Learning isn’t merely mastering one subject, rather attempting to learn not only your intended major, but other fields of study, as well as maintain after school
