Reflective Essay For Intership

While searching for something to do this summer I wanted to find something that I could gain some very useful experiences from, so when I received an email informing me about a fellowship in the south working to improve schools I was ecstatic. Participating in this fellowship would mean I am taking the leadership pathway and that is the pathway I was looking to be a part of because I think it is probably the best pathway to gain experience that is easily transferable into the work place. The work you do in an internship is very much meant to be work that gives you direct experience in the work environment, rather than other pathways which may give you new things to think about and consider but may not give you necessary skills in a field. I am studying Psychology and that opens a lot of different career options after graduation and one the options I am considering is teaching. This is a great way to gain experience in education. First I had to make sure my resume was up to date and included everything I needed it to. Career Services was helpful in completing this step. Next I had to get letters of recommendations and my transcript. Luckily I did not need to get my official transcript so I was able to avoid paying to get it. As for the letters, I had to ask professors and advisors from the university for them and they were happy to email the letters in for me. After that I needed to complete the application. That involves answering their short answer questions and completing a personal statement that addresses why you would what to become a SELI fellow. This was a bit difficult as I sorely abhor writing about myself, but I after this I was done with the application and all that was left was to e-mail this all
