Whenever we come through success stories of any company , its recalls us about it’s leaders. Without a great leader a company does not stand a chance to succeed in its goals. We cannot even imagine Microsoft without Bill Gates or The Landmark Group without Micky Jagtiani . Leadership indicates the ability of an individual to maintain good relations with his followers and guide them to achieve their goals. Firstly the description of the lesson of leadership that the Arawind Hospital brings forward and secondly in what means did the Arawind Hospital increase it’s efficiency multiple times. Dr Venkatswamy , the founder of Arawind Hospital had a straight motive for the hospital which was to cure the blind people who could not afford to pay their treatment fees.The major success of Arawind Hospital was due to the adoption method of Macdonalisation where there was sequential construction system productivity, strict quality standards, brand distinguishment, institutionalization, consistency, cost control and more all, volume.

One of the lessons of leadership in the Arawind hospital was that even at a very elderly age, Dr Venkatswamy still worked as a supervisor in the hospital and also helping out his colleagues in the registration of the new patients in the hospital. Dr V. was a dedicated person,

Dr. Venkatswamy arrived at the hospital as it was hi daily routine and noticed her in the hospital and questioned her that what was she doing there and then she replied that she was sick .Dr Venkatswamy spontaneously replied that he also had fever of 104 Fahrenheit and out of shame the surgeon stood up and went back to work. These incidents state the lessons of leadership taken place in the Arawind
