Human resource can be defined as the department within an organization with responsibilities pertaining to recruitment, selection, retention and training employees as well as administration of these employees and they’re rights (Silver, 2017). According to Manloop ( 2015), an advantage of the human resource department is that is allows the firm a competitive advantage through their role of recruitment and training . A competitive advantage refers to a business undertaking a valuable strategy not being implemented at the same time by their competitors. Manloop (2015) further elaborated to say that the specific areas of advantage brought about by human resource are organizational culture, routines of staff, education owned and provided to employees and ethics of the employees, all of which are influenced by the types of employees recruited and training …show more content…
