First off we have to head into what is our identity. When we are born we are automatically placed into various communities, we are born first of all into a gender, we are either male or female. We are placed into a social class, we are given a religion that is determined by our parents, along with many other aspects like our nationality, etc; that define who we are. This new communities that we are placed do not completely define who we are, since our identity is something that we develop through our who life, constantly changing who we are, we can later change for example our religion, or even the country in which we live in, thus changing our identity.

Your society or surroundings can change the way that you speak and therefore a part of your identity. For example if you are born here in El Salvador and learned to speak Spanish from your parents all the way until you were 8 years old. But then you all move to Mexico, you go to a Mexican school, with Mexican friends, etc. So even thought at first you had a Salvadorian accent and it was what your parents had taught you, by the age of 9 you are most probably already be talking like if you had lived all of your life in Mexico, because you got used to they way of speaking, their regional words, like “Orale”, “Andale”, etc. So even though that you were taught a way of the language your identity changed because of the surrounding
