First Doctor in Doctor Who, said, “Until then, there must be no regrets.” This a quote I love because he has a point. That 's until I get the results of my research to help my community, and I will do my research with no regrets. I have seen great success in the programs that consist literature and linguistics in their curriculum. The articles that I have reviewed consist information that will help my research; my research is to introduce linguistics and literature to assist Hispanic students to learn English. The articles created a reaction, theme, and additional questions for my research. They had a great impact into the students’ language in a 6 month. They had the teacher go through training in linguistics and they had the students pick as many books as possible. The teachers learn mostly in psycholinguistics then social linguistics to integrate books for students. This skills were introduced into literature so that students could see the proper way that English should be written. They would use theory of learning about how modeling of English in literature would assist students learn. Additionally, they were taught to teach the language but also culture. They saw that learning literature they saw the difference of culture. The students got introduced American literature, then they got introduced British literature. Then they got introduced into local literature that would assist them to understand their own culture. They encourage students to read on their own about their passion or interest of the book. This allowed students to read with more interest rather than reading boring books. This theme allowed students and teachers grow as one. The teachers had less problem teaching the students about grammar and understanding of literature. The students had a better understanding of the concepts that are needed in the English language. I have to keep doing my research in linguistics and literature, but I need to include translation to assist the ESL students in my community. Once I can develop a program that allows students to learn English that could be translated to their culture’s language. The articles have assisted me this far, and I will not
