I am extremely devoted to my education. While the same could be said for many, I believe my dedication goes above and beyond. In addition to my commitment, I am eccentric in regards to the way I speak, although not the way I act. I am the type of person who is exceedingly exuberant, ambitious, and reliable. I commit to being ambitious due to my goals and expectations being extremely high when it comes to grades and school.…
My name is Riley Schmidt and I was in AP capstone last year, that class helped me a lot and taught me so much. Although, i do struggle more with reading and comprehending literature. I'm usually very shy and I don't like to talk in front of people, which is why capstone was challenging to me at times. I'm a huge procrastinator which also doesn't help me Outside of school, I play two sports, field hockey and lacrosse. I'm new to both sports, but really like both.…
However, the only college I want to go to is Ivy Tech. I say this because it is the cheapest college that I can go to in my area at $9,704 a semester. To cover the cost of the semesters, however, I could also work nights at some other job so I can get myself a paycheck. This will help me become successful in…

In the lower grades, teachers used more hands-on methods and kinesthetic learners learned easily. But anatomy professors in college are less likely to focus on different the learning styles. The lecture portion of class is ideal for auditory learners and visual learners because they can listen to lecture and see PowerPoints but leaves very little room for kinesthetic learners. In college, kinesthetic learning is usually restricted to science, which makes the anatomy lab the perfect place to embrace it. By appealing to each of the learning styles in the anatomy lab, better learning and retention will take place.…

After completing the Productivity environmental preference survey, I discover that the areas of structure, auditory and time of the day were rated high while areas of light, temperature and does not learn in were rated low. I believe that the areas of structure, auditory and time of the day was rated high because that is who I am; I’m an individual who likes to plan things out and go by that; like having a set schedule and I also consider myself somewhat of an auditory learner, I learn by listening to people give direction or instructions and the time of the day was rated high because I work best in the morning hours. I am more productive and energize in the morning hours compare to the evening. My light, temperature and learning in several ways were low because I prefer to learn in a cool temperature and to have the lights dim when studying.…
My finding from the self-assessment comes as no surprise. I have a kinesthetic learning style, but both visual and auditory styles are close behind, I have become flexible in learning styles, depending on the subject I am studying will determine the type of style works best to obtain the most of the information, for example, I will gain more on new work instruction at work by practicing the process several times before I am comfortable; although, when learning stories from the bible, I pick up more by discussing the topic with other church members during bible study. I am a visual learner for standardized information, I absorb best by reading the information. My temperament is a director, again, this comes at no surprise. I am a result-driven…
I wish my teacher knew… That I like to be a goof ball most of the time. I also like to talk a lot and grab other people's attention. Sequence is a learning pattern in today 's world and I am one point shot of using it as needed. I do avoid this though, mainly because I hate schedules and for the most part, it 's because it mentally exhausts me to have an organized life. Who has that? I can 't live by a calendar. On the other hand, I do use post-it sticky notes through out the day at home and at work because I am very forgetful.…
As a student aspiring to become a physician, I know the importance in having strong values and high self-standards. One of the first characteristics that set me apart from others is my hard working, positive attitude. My dedication not only applies to my academics, but rather every aspect of my life. I try to be as committed as I possibly can in each of my involvements and always have optimism with everything I do. My mentality is to approach every obstacle as a way to grow and develop, bettering myself each and every day.…
