used to be healthy. He receive good care-taking from parents, leading to “secure” attachment style.
His views to himself and others were both positive. His high self-esteem is developed from high
school teachers' comments. However, the situation deteriorated after receiving the DSE result and
continuing his studying in college. He has problems in 3 aspects: emotional aspect, interpersonal
aspect and the aspect of self-image.

Although his DSE result
in unsatisfactory, he is probably the top student in the college as he think the college work is easy. It
is a fact that he can accomplish the examinations and study in university. If he still focus on his
DSE result, he self-esteem will not raise.
3) Setting Realistic and Fair Goal(s)
Setting goal(s) is a very effective way ( Wood, 2013 ), but it may have adverse effect if the goal is
unrealistic and unfair because it will become another challenge to self-esteem ( because he will fail
eventually ). When realistic and fair one is set and finished continuously, he can gain sense of
achievement and establish his confident bit by bit. It is also suggested to break down big goal into
small ones to reduce the difficulty and risks. Eventually, his self-concept will become better.
Emotional Aspect
In this perspective, he is having negative emotions all the time. One of the reason for this is low
self-esteem. Having low self-esteem means he do not truly believe his own abilities, resulting in
worrying. He is very stressed when examinations or quizzes approaches. Comparing himself
