The Importance Of Juveniles In Adult Prisons

A juvenile being in an adult prison is a message saying ‘lost hope’. This means that since they are giving juvenile extremely hard sentences, it give them no hope for their future and no hope for themselves either. They would be stuck as criminals for rest of the eternity. Some juveniles doesn’t want to lose that hope that they probably decided to never commit crime ever again if it’s mean losing their dream goals. The child won’t be able to continue his maturity and growing up to be an adult human being because if he stays in the adult prison for a long time then there is no reason for him to even become more mature since he lost all his hope being in that kind of prison. They have no responsibility and maturity to understand the consequences. Therefore, there should be no reason why the child should be convicted in a manner as a adult. …show more content…
The adults will start pick and threating them if they don’t do what they say. The adult in prison won’t be too nice to the child because they are all criminals and they don’t care if that person is even a child. Since juveniles will be with the adults, they would be so afraid that they might get abused, since they never ever got used to this kind of environment. Even though the society would be safe from the juveniles from their horrible crimes; however, think about the juveniles, would the juvenile even be safe in prison with rest of the adults? This is a big issue that no one ever thought about because even if they thought about safety wouldn’t be fair to think about a ways to prevent the juveniles for committing more crimes. If they thought about rehabilitation maybe they could find a way to fix the juveniles criminal
