Job satisfaction pertains to each person differently. As Heather Huhman, of comerecommended.com, stated “When someone has really impressed you, promote him or her with a title change or increased or different responsibilities. If you can afford it, give them a raise or bonus. Showing that you recognize their achievements and dedication in some way is important in retaining talented employees and keeping them happy.”
In a research conducted by SHRM, 50 percent of employees reported in 2013 that management’s recognition of employee job performance was important to their job satisfaction. There was also another research conducted by SHRM and Globoforce in 2013 that 81 percent of organizations have an employee recognition program, and 84 percent believe that recognizing employees for their accomplishments provides employees with a clearer understanding of organizational objectives.
