Group Analysis Paper The group logo presentation and the informative presentation both gave me good experiences on how to work with group members and let me realize the importance of team work. The positive interpersonal relationships among our group help maintaining a good working atmosphere and making the presentations to succeed. Each of us played several roles in the group. Catherine, Annie and I were task-oriented. Catherine is the leader of our group. She is an initiator and a recorder. In the group logo presentation, her idea of acting out two of the group members’ experiences in the skit makes the presentation very successful and the flow of the presentation went very smooth. Catherine was an aggressor. She took the presentations so serious and wanted to get the work done and be perfect. That is why she would assign us homework and she would review it. Catherine would also give feedback to our work, such as the script is not creative enough. Thus, she sometimes gave us pressure. And Catherine may have the whole picture in her mind. If the ideas were not follow her will, she would reject it. However, it is also the reason that she is a good leader. Sean may be a deserter. He was not highly participated in the group at first and did not do his work and uploaded to the google docs. After a small talk between him and Catherine, Sean had done a good job at last. It is also a thing that caused my perception toward Sean to change in a positive manner. Furthermore, Daniel also changed in a positive manner. He was kind of an introvert in the group and a passive person. On the day before we presented, he encouraged us not to be nervous and after the presentation, he texted all of us with saying we all did a good job. This is really

The main challenge of this group situation is that there was a sudden rise of conflict among members at the beginning to mid phase of the project. This resulted the possible development of groupthink (Janis, 2008). As a leader in this situation, I would firstly feel lousy and disappointed in myself that I didn’t take note of group’s division and how the meeting could be more inclusive of everyone’s opinion (Chadha, 2016). However, at that point, I would also probably feel confused but yet curious as to why it was suddenly voiced out, hence thought that I should facilitate to explicit the thoughts and feelings of each member to better understand as well.…

She had a great understanding of her father’s values and little of her mothers. That could just be due to the fact the she was of a younger age than her brother and was born into her father’s values. Because Ikwe left Angus after her son was taken from her, Catherine would have more of an understanding of nature and the values that her mother had taught her. When playing with the other children of the Algonquian people, it was apparent that she had no understanding their lifestyle.…

Throughout the year, as a class we have been given many different challenges in either the form of an essay, speech, or group presentation. The final assignment given to us was a group project presentation. From growing up in an age filled with technology, I have come to love projects that revolve around making some form of a PowerPoint presentation. This PowerPoint though, was both difficult and interesting for the reasons of being assigned group members not of my own choosing, learning to listen to others ideas which can help me to learn something new, and using former knowledge while working together to create a clean, in depth, and well prepared presentation. With working in groups of students whom I have known since I was young but…

Reflection Paper II Throughout my college experience here in the Carroll School of Management, group work and the ability to work well with others has been emphasized greatly. This makes sense, because in a professional environment, the ability to communicate, listen and contribute within a group leads to success and the achievement of goals. However, none have gone on as long as this project, making it a more realistic example of working on a team. Junior year of college is definitely a crazy time, as we are forced to balance heavy workloads with extracurriculars and recruiting.…

Introduction In this reflection, I will focus on some important topics such as, what I learned about individual and business taxation from this course, what was my experience with the group project and what were the challenges that I faced during both the group project and this course. I am also going to add some main overall points that I learned. Tax is generally an amount of money that is charged by a government on a product, income, or activity so that it can pay for public services. In addition, there are several very common types of taxes: • Income Tax (a percentage of individual or corporate earnings filed to the government) • Sales Tax (taxes charged on certain goods and services) • Property Tax (taxes charged on the value of land…
