For a person that could be considered a technical star, having someone who didn’t trust his work, interrupted him constantly, was a factor of stress rather than relief, had low tolerance to uncertainty and worried more about the project instead of the person, became a horrible combination. Bill Eden continuously supervised Abrams’ work and became an undesirable person for Abrams. Having a combination of time pressure with a hard job and constant supervision will only lead to a ticking bomb if not managed the correct way. Eden could have made a different approach towards Abrams to motivate and bring together the project but to accomplish this their personal background and characteristics should have been understood. During the whole case the attitude of both Eden and Abrams was the wrong one. Both were predisposed toward each other’s actions and a bad attitude will neglect the possibility of having a good reaction towards other people. In Abrams case, as we have seen before how the lack of communication combined with the wrong attitude created the conflict regarding the name of the computer contractor.
