As time progresses, the World Wide Web becomes much more advanced. Since the 1980’s the internet has grown and improved extremely fast. It went from being an idea that dozens of pioneers had to what it is today (Andrews). Every day there are new stories surfacing in the news about people either getting their identity stolen online or recruited by terrorists. Because of the Black Market, people are doing what was once thought to be impossible. There are very few things that can’t be done online and surprisingly, human trafficking is not one of them. Criminals are selling anything from drugs to live humans on the black market. In the United States, at least “105,000 children are being sexually exploited” (Couch). Out of those 105,000 children, “70% of them are being sold online” (Couch). Even though it is very hard to track down the criminals selling on the black market, a lot can be done to prevent more people from being sold on there. By having more employees from the NSA monitoring the black market, more sellers and their websites can be shut down. Some people don’t care about this issue because it’s not happening to them however, human trafficking is one of the biggest problems in the United States and it needs to be stopped as soon as possible. By allowing the NSA to monitor what people do online, it will help decrease the amount of online human
