The free-market concept leads marketplace become very competitive, due to an easier way to enter a market. Furthermore, with a growth of technology, the business word is changing all the time; every company tries their best to maximize a use of technology to be a market leader. As a result, innovation is a very crucial that must take place in strategy of companies. As one of the biggest company in manufacturing and selling sport footwear, equipment and accessories, innovation is a core competency. From the past until now, Nike always put a lot of effort to improve their products, services, and even manufacture process. First of all, I will discuss about manufacture process, Nike focuses on sustainability, as a mass production company, wastes are always a problem, for some companies, recycle is even sometimes cost more than making new products if you can’t manage well. However, with such a well-prepared and long term plan for this, Nike manages very well in recycling their wastes. They are planning to have 0% of waste in 2020, it sounds impossible, but for Nike it is not, as now they are able to recycle their wasted material 71% to use in their business process again. For example, I will use my story as an example, I have a very big shoes size (46), but somehow I still don’t feel comfortable with my shoes size, I have to wear 46 due to my foot length not width, it even led to injury for me when I play basketball, with 3d system provided by Nike, I can create a particular size for me that perfectly fit my foots. More than that, customers themselves can create own design for their shoes which for me is a very exotic experiences, it will maximize customer’s
