The income rate for upper and lower class families is based on economic in society. The middle to upper class children have unlimited options to choose what schools they would like to go too, unlike lower class children who have very limited options and do not have the advantages of going to a university “(Rodriquez)”. Lower class family cannot afford to spend their money on high priced food, brand new vehicles, and big houses. The state-earned income tax help them a little to pay their bills, cover health and dental insurance. Many live in violent neighborhoods, filled with lots of policeman, drugs, and liquor store. Many struggle to get a well-paid job with only a high school diploma or G.E.D “(Porter)”. The only ones who would make 30,000 to 40,000 thousand a year are people with an associate degree, 50,000 to 60,000 a year with a bachelor’s degree and 70,000 to 80,000 with a master’s degree. People who live in poverty strive for success to get promoted, but cannot get more hours for more pay “(Porter)”. Businesses hire employee part-time so they would have to give any benefits. Minimum wage is not enough to feed a family, pay bills, insurance and your child’s tuition. For example if you were trained, worked for three years at Mc Donald they should give you a raise and promoted to manager but without a degree you stay as a cashier. In today’s society many more than 50 percent of African Americans and Hispanics work six times harder than an average white man in laborer, assembly line, and physical jobs. All different races not including whites have to work harder to achieve more in life, a job and grades. The work ethic of Hispanic is incredible most labor jobs like cutting grass and pool cleaner. But they cannot work; get into college, or etc without a green
