First, I will contact my local Senator Barbara Boxer to show her my bill as well as see if she had any bills that were similar to mine. In the past she has sponsored multiple different bills pertaining to the middle class and income inequality including the Middle Class Success Act as well as the Middle Class Opportunity Acts of 2007 and 2009. During this process as well as while the subcommittee is discussing it, they are considering the funding for the bill, by deciding whether to use a pork barrel, where they would use tax money in order to fund it, or an earmark, where funds from Congress would pay for the bill. In this case I believe that the bill would need to be paid through an earmark due to the fact that in order to help the middle class, we need to continue to keep the taxes down. Also during this process while the different members of the Senate are discussing the bill, some members who want to get rid of a bill might attempt to filibuster a bill by talking it to death.
Finally everyone in the Senate will vote on the bill and if it passes then it moves on to the chamber of Congress and then once both have approved the bill, it will be sent to the the President who has the decision to sign or veto the bill. If he decides that we need to make this a law then he signs it and it becomes official when my bill is now a
